The service is smart and the atmosphere is great!

The café / bar offers a relaxed view of and across the market square. The mood in the evening invites you to linger by the open window, so that you can spend a nice time there on warm summer evenings. The landlord was very irritable because of the mask requirement. Feeling that as guests is not inviting, despite all understanding of the situation. You can still act in a friendly and determined manner. Hence a point deduction.

Smokers "pub" with style, the right ambience for a cozy evening at the window to the market and excellent courteous service.

In my opinion one of the best bars / cafés in Jena. Super pleasant atmosphere, great lighting, furnished like an old Viennese café. The service is usually very nice. More like a bar for smaller groups. I can only recommend!

Great place with a relaxed atmosphere, nice service and a convincing selection of witty and mindless drinks as well as a snack offer for the good old soda house. Warning: nothing for sensitive non-smokers, it is one of the few exclusive smoking bars in Jena.

I was in this cafe on Saturday. Unfortunately the waiter was very rude and told us that this cafe deserves alcohol and not the coffee though in the menu the coffee is available.

Great drinks and very friendly staff. The ambience is very pleasant and you have a beautiful view over the market square. As a non-smoker, it might be a bit intense in terms of the smoke, but if you anticipate it, you probably will not have any problems. Always happy!!

Excellent restaurant bar in the heart of the city of Jena. The staff is friendly and courteous. You can sit quietly, enjoying the view of the market square. In summer even at the open window. Those who do not tolerate smokers, I do not highly recommend. This is one of the few places in the city where you can smoke right at the table.

Stylish decor and special atmosphere. Here you can have a nice chat and enjoy draft beer, but also drink long drinks and cocktails. (Unfortunately) mostly smoked!

When we are in Jena in the evening: Café Central. Young-old mixed smoking bar. Good mix of professional and personal. Draft beer and fine ambience.
